Under OJK Regulation No. 3/2024, OJK introduced the Regulatory Sandbox as a structured framework to assess, oversee, and facilitate innovation in the financial services sector. As of December 2024, five participants had been accepted into the sandbox process, while OJK recorded a total of 14 Financial Services Technology Innovations. Further, OJK also facilitated sandbox consultations for a total of 132 participants.

In December 2024, the crypto-assets market recorded a total transaction value of IDR94.08 trillion with number of investors reaching 22.91 million.
