OJK Regulation Number 41/2025 concerning Representative Offices of Financing Institutions, Venture Capital Companies, and Other Financial Services Institutions with Headquarters Located Abroad

This OJK Regulation (POJK) issued to provide legal certainty and support the supervision of representative offices in Indonesia for financing institutions, venture capital companies, and other financial services institutions headquartered abroad. The regulation establishes requirements for licensing, operations, fit and proper assessments, supervision, and reporting obligations for such representative offices (KPPVL), while ensuring the implementation of prudential principles and facilitating lawful cross-border cooperation and information exchange. It also requires existing foreign institutions operating in Indonesia to obtain approval for their representative offices within six months of the Regulation’s effective date, while allowing previously approved capital injections or financing activities to continue until their completion.
