Under OJK Regulation No. 3/2024, OJK introduced the Regulatory Sandbox as a structured framework to assess, oversee, and facilitate innovation in the financial services sector. As of December 2025, nine participants have been accepted into the sandbox process, while OJK has recorded a total of 30 Financial Services Technology Innovations.

As of December 2025, OJK has licensed 29 entities in the crypto-assets ecosystem, including 1 bourse, 1 clearinghouse, 2 custodians, and 25 digital financial asset traders.

OJK has also conducted outreach and technical guidance to ensure compliance with new regulations. To enhance coordination and streamline document completion post-transition, OJK and Bappebti have formed a working group that will remain active until January 2026.
